Okay, not really. But they totally could have. But sometimes Tracy Morgan stops by the 92nd Street Y to talk to comedian Hannibal Buress about his life and the world of standup. This just so happened to occur last Wednesday night. Check out my latest article for CBS to find out how these two hilarious guys cracked each other up.

*Note to self: Remember to ask Brian Fellows how he’s doing.

279. I’m Already Laughing

It’s about time Maya Rudolph gets her own show – well a shot at it, at least. It was announced today that at 10 p.m. on May 19th, NBC will air The Maya Rudolph Show. The sketch/variety show will star her and her famous friends (aka Kristen Bell, Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen (seriously what isn’t Fred up to these days?), Craig Robinson, Sean Hayes, and Chris Parnell. We should expect songs and sketches – does that mean SNL’s 90’s girl band Gemini’s Twin will be making an appearance? I seriously hope so.

Janelle Monae will be a musical guest while Raphael Saadiq will serve as bandleader. Pretty cool. Oh, and, of course, Lorne Michaels is executive producing. Let’s just hope it gets green lighted for an entire series. Because we need a woman in late night and Maya is the perfect person for the job.

*Note to self: See if Maya is on LinkedIn. Send her my resume. Instant friends and colleagues.

278. Smudge

So, my good friend’s mother asked me to put together a list of my favorite cosmetic products. Click here to read what I’m obsessed with now and what’s in my makeup bag – okay, makeup bags.

*Note to self: Don’t forget to make an appt. to get your teeth whitened. I’m having teeth envy thanks to the chick in this GIF.

Guess I was the only February birthday at work. More cake for me. (The guy behind me had more important phone things to deal with.)

*Note to self: Next year’s goal – Learn how to blow out candles more efficiently.

274. Oscar Joes

Screen Shot 2014-03-02 at 12.23.24 PM

It’s Oscar day so why not celebrate this year’s movies with a cup of joe? Check out the crazy work of barista Michael Breach, who makes it possible for any customer to drink up Leonardo DiCaprio and Joaquin Phoenix. And, of course, he’s from Brooklyn. Would you expect anything else?

*Note to self: Show up at Stumptown Coffee at the Ace Hotel and show the baristas Michael’s work, just to prove that he’s more hipstery than they are.
